Collections Department

Bell specializes in insurance subrogation. Our recovery process includes skip tracing and asset verification. When a file meets the necessary criteria for suspension, we petition the state for revocation of the uninsured driver's license and registration. Once the debtor has responded a promissory note and/or a confidential release detailing their financial obligation is generated.

Insurance/Arbitration Department

Our insurance department is fully equipped to handle claims when insurance is discovered. If applicable, when a dispute cannot be resolved, Bell will file arbitration.

Litigation Department

In our ongoing partnership with you, our in-house litigation coordinator will litigate your file (with your express written consent). Suit authorization will be sent to you for approval and payment and forwarded to an attorney.

Bell will follow your claim through the entire civil litigation process from the Pretrial to Trial as necessary. Bell will work with you each step of the way: processing affidavits, preparing supports, following status, etc. Suit will be recommended as a last recourse.

Monthly Payment/Time Pay Monitoring

Bell knows that monitoring monthly payment arrangements can be a time and resource intensive process. As a result, Bell designed a Time Pay Monitoring Service to assist our clients in this critical area. The requirements for the Time Pay Monitoring are:

A) Adverse has made a payment in the past 60 days.

B) Signed or verbal agreements are forwarded to Bell.

Secondary Files

Secondary Files are files that have been given to a previous vendor and subsequently sent to Bell.

Skip Tracing Department

Bell collectors use the skip tracing department at any time during the collection process. A basic skip trace will be done to locate the debtor's current address, employment, and phone numbers. If no contact is established, a comprehensive trace, including identification of neighbors and relatives (e.g. same last name) is done.

Suspension Department:

In order for Bell to petition the state for suspension of a claimant's driver’s license and/or registration the file must:

A) Meet the suspension requirements of the state the accident occurred in.

B) Provide the documents required by the state to suspend. (i.e. police report, estimates, proof of payment, a copy of a denial letter)

Once a response is received from the state, the responsive is reviewed and system notes updated. If the response indicates the claimant had insurance, the file is forwarded to Bell’s Insurance department for handling. If there is no insurance information found the response is noted and filed. A promissory note and/or a conditional release is then generated for the debtor detailing their financial obligation.

Status Reports

Our Marketing/Client Service Department provides status on all assignments. You may receive status reports monthly or quarterly. Customized reports also are available.

Remittance

Bell remits recovered monies monthly following the month funds are received. A detailed statement is included with all payments. Additional options for remittance are:

1. One check with the gross amount.

2. One check with the net amount (Bell Fees Extracted)

3. Individual checks per file with the gross amount.

4. Individual checks per file with the net amount.
